I recently learned about an organization immersed in the music scene and focused on mental health, especially for younger generations who are struggling with depression, anxiety, a myriad of drug and alcohol related issues, and social pressures that are exacerbated minute by minute via the internet.

"When The Music Stops is a nonprofit and community that supports emotional and mental health through music, connection, and love," (WTMS 2020). They have partnered with Groove Cruise and Whet Foundation to offer artist hosted activities focused on mental health awareness, right on the ship.

I plan to attend these workshops so I can learn more about the organization and how I might be able to help them grow. As we see in the news headlines every day, mental health affects everyone, regardless of where they came from or where they are now. This is something near to my heart and I wanted to give the cause a little #SunsetShoutOut!

WTMS founder, Josh Donaldson, has a pretty cool story that you can find on the WTMS FB page, (December 1, 2022). If you get a chance, check it out.

Do you know of other organizations like this? If so, please share them with me!
