Back in October 2022, Red and I spent about a week in Old Forge, which is not far from where I grew up. We stayed at the Old Forge Camping Resort, and when all the families left after the Halloween weekend, Red and I basically had the campground to ourselves.

After avoiding the crowd, in true anti-social form, I decided I wanted to do something on Halloween, and in spirit of the occasion, I decided to check out what movies were playing at the local theater. I'm not really a scary/gory movie fan but sure enough, Halloween Ends was an option and I figured that it was an appropriate circumstance to step out of the norm. I was greeted at an old-school ticket booth by a very kind gentleman who sold me my $7 ticket. I grabbed a small bag of popcorn and a water from the other gentleman behind the concession stand for just a few more dollars and started to make my way to the theater room.

I turned the corner and was like...whoa! I stopped dead in my tracks, taking in the decor. The photos don't do it any justice, I promise. There is SO much to look at! What an incredible hidden gem I had just stumbled upon. Movie audio and visual quality were on point, and I had the theater almost completely to myself.

If you are ever in the ADK area and have a chance to see a movie at this theater, you should do it!
