Reggae Rise Up - St. Petersburg, FL - March 16-19, 2023

On a whim last year, I attended Reggae Rise Up on Friday night, mainly to see Rebelution. It was my first time to Vinoy Park, and I loved the setup. This year, I decided to get a 4-day VIP pass and I plan to hang out for the entire weekend! I'm definitely going for the vibes and to hear some artists I'm not familiar with. I am a Dirty Heads and Pepper fan, though...and I love me some Rebelution, and Damian Marley. Plus, when was the last time anyone saw 311? Because I think it's been 22 years or so for me. Their website is literally a store...

I plan to stay in the area and Uber back and forth to the park, which is nestled between shops, restaurants, and night life and the waters of Tampa Bay. So far, the plan is to stay at a nearby location I found on Harvest Hosts. If you're a camper who travels frequently, Harvest Hosts might be a good thing to look into. I have a generator and as long as I can conserve my freshwater tank, two of us can easily stay in the camper for the weekend. Pretty sure this is on my festival buddy's list and I'm trying to get a few other friends to go, too. See you there?

If you want to get a little crazy, the Innings Festival is also that weekend and just a short drive down the road. This is a big, open venue so bring a hat and wear your sunscreen! Parking is reasonably priced, or you can uber from nearby locations or hotels.

Thursday and Friday at RRU then Saturday and Sunday at Raymond James Stadium...sounds like a party to me!
